2. Description of Service

Afrodata is a multilingual data intelligence platform that provides grounded, cited answers to questions about African public data. Answers are derived from indexed official and institutional sources. The Platform is designed for research, journalism, policy analysis, and professional use.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use the Platform for lawful purposes only. You must not:

  • Use automated scraping, bulk extraction, or systematic harvesting of answers
  • Reproduce Platform outputs commercially without attribution
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or compromise the Platform's infrastructure
  • Use the Platform to produce or disseminate misleading or defamatory content
  • Attempt to circumvent quota limits through multiple accounts

4. Accuracy and Liability

Afrodata strives to provide accurate, source-grounded answers. However, all answers are AI-generated and carry a stated confidence level and source citations. You are responsible for verifying answers before relying on them for critical decisions. Afrodata does not warrant the completeness, accuracy, or fitness for purpose of any answer. The Platform is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical, or engineering advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Afrodata shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or reliance on its outputs.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid billing period. Regional pricing discounts (Africa, South Asia, Latin America) are applied automatically and confirmed at checkout. We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

6. Intellectual Property

Source data cited in answers remains the property of its originating institutions under their respective licences (displayed on each source card).
